I live in the Finger Lakes area of Upstate New York, in a small rural town near Keuka Lake but we work virtually so location is no issue. I am a wife and mother of two amazing children.   I have a Bachelor's degree in Business Management with minors in accounting and computer applications.   I worked for a short time in accounting functions before developing my sales career at Ferro Corporation.   I also own and operate a small photobooth event rental business. My husband, Todd, is an entrepreneur with several small businesses. I have always done the bookkeeping and accounting for our family-owned businesses and very much enjoy it so I have decided to go back to my accounting roots and start my own bookkeeping and accounting business to do something that matters...help small businesses thrive. Quickbooks Online Support

It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

Transaction + Expense Recording

We will record and classify all of your business banking transactions to the correct bookkeeping account to ensure your expenses and deductions are accurate. We reconcile your bank accounts monthly to confirm that your reports are correct. We can link your bank account to directly import to Quickbooks! This allows us to classify expenses as soon as they are reported.   We will ensure all of your transactions are coded correctly for tax time so you don't miss out on any more deductions!

Financial Reporting

We offer monthly cash basis reporting for all our clients. This includes a profit & loss and balance sheet.   These reports offer you insight into the financial standing of our business. They can allow you to make sound decisions regarding business investments as well. We'll automatically send these reports to you at the end of each month. Further reporting can be requested if needed.

Historical Clean-Up

If you have signed up for the Basic Bookkeeping Package but you have fallen behind on your bookkeeping, this is sometimes needed to get you caught up. We are happy to offer historical clean-up services for the time period you specify. Pricing will depend on the clean-up time period and the number of accounts and transactions involved.

AR & AP Management

Do you struggle getting your client invoices out timely? Or recording your customer payments so you have accurate customer balances? If invoicing your clients takes up all your time, let us handle it for you. We will set you up with Intuit Payments so clients can pay their invoices right there from their inbox! Or maybe you find it difficult to keep up on bill payment and often wonder how much you really owe to vendors. Need someone to stay on top of your business bills? We can tackle that too!

Sales Tax Filing

Is your business subject to sales tax? Do you feel unsure if your monthly or quarterly sales tax reports are correct? Do you fear an audit? Or would you just like to take this compliance piece off your plate? We can help!

 

Payroll + 1099 Tracking

Do you have employees? We offer payroll services for you and your employees. We partner with Gusto to provide superior services. We'll also track + file your payroll liabilities for you.

Do you have subcontractors? We can track their payments as well and issue 1099s at year end.

Job Costing or Class Tracking

Nothing is more important than understanding job profitability. We will set up your QBO account to allow us to classify each and every transaction to a specific job. When you are ready to review your project list, we can send you financials providing your project profitability so you can make decisions on how to quote future jobs or reward staff for meeting goals!

What’s included in the Basic Bookkeeping package?

Every month we will categorize all business-related income and expense transactions and issue you a monthly financial statement consisting of a Balance Sheet and a Profit and Loss. These reports will help you understand your business past to make decisions on your business future. They are required in order to do any tax planning or to fund your business with mid-year loans. Email and text support is also included.

What’s not included in the Basic Bookkeeping package?

Anything above and beyond basic tracking of income and expense items for the month is not included in the monthly price above. However, additional services are available as an add-on to your basic bookkeeping package. These add-on's include accrual basis accounting, detailed financials showing class tracking or job profitability, invoicing, bill payment, payroll, sales tax filing, and legal help. Monthly strategy sessions are also available for additional fees.

How do I request additional services?

Contact me to schedule a consultation call and we can discuss your needs so that I can customize a package with the services that best fit your needs.

What hours do the bookkeepers and other team members work?

Due to the flexible nature of bookkeeping work, I work various hours of the day and night. However, we use standard M-F 8-5 work hours to address emails and phone calls.

Is Quickbooks Online required to sign up for the Basic Bookkeeping package?

Yes. Our team must use Quickbooks Online in order to handle the bookkeeping at the price list above. Versions - Essentials, Plus, or Advanced are all acceptable. Simple Start or Quickbooks Self Employed are not. If you have a current subscription, you are ahead of the game. No need to get another subscription. If you do not currently have a subscription, the on-boarding videos will walk you through how to get that setup. We are able to offer 50% off to our new clients for 12 months. This is the best discount you can get with Quickbooks Online. We highly recommend signing up for Essentials or Plus to start.

What qualifications does your team have?

I have a B.S in Business Management and Accounting and am a Certified Quickbooks Pro-Advisor. You can rest assured that you are working with a high-quality professional. I all also belong to a large network of financial professionals so if there is a question we have not seen before, we have a lot of resources in our back pocket to find an answer for you fast.

Do you require a contract?

Nope! No contract is required. However, there are no partial month refunds. Is an engagement letter required? Yes, an engagement letter is required. You can click that you accept the terms of service and that will act as our engagement letter. It will be available for download from the membership site.

If I have a question, how long does it take to get an email response?

We pride ourselves in being very responsive to our clients important inquiries. We strive to respond within 24 hours AT MOST (except over weekends and holidays). If we are very busy, we will respond to let you know we've received your email and will address it shortly.

What information do I need to share?

Ideally, I will need access to your business bank and credit card accounts in order to efficiently complete your monthly financials. Many banks allow for accountant (read-only) access to bank accounts. This access helps us to keep our fees affordable and our efficiency high.
